Physical Health Services

Comprehensive health services ensure children are ready and able to learn.  Dental visits, hearing and vision screenings, and immunizations are provided to all children enrolled in Head Start and Early Head Start programs.  Families are assisted with nutritional services, finding a family doctor, and securing a funding source for payment of the health care they may need.

Reach Dane contracts with the University of Wisconsin for the services of nurse practitioners to ensure the well-being of our children on a daily basis.  Children are provided with healthy, nutritious, and culturally appropriate snacks and meals.  Education is provided for parents who need support in safe practices at home and in cars, purchasing healthy foods, and developing child expectations and discipline that is in line with their child's developmental milestones.
